ANCOBA was founded by Ben Johnson and Aaron Baverstock, two experienced professionals with a deep background in construction. Over the years, Ben and Aaron have built a strong working relationship, delivering excellent results on all kinds of projects. The idea behind ANCOBA was to create a company that blends construction know-how with hands on clear communication.

With a solid team that’s grown naturally over time, ANCOBA is able to hit the ground running. This success shows in the careful planning and thought that has gone into every part of the company’s development. From start to finish, ANCOBA makes sure every detail is handled with care and precision.

Founding Member

Ben Johnson, originally from a small town in Hertfordshire, brings over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Starting his career as a labourer, he quickly gained an in depth understanding of every aspect of building, mastering each trade along the way.

For the last 15 years, Ben has focused on extending, building, and developing homes, perfecting his expertise in all areas of residential construction. As a founding member of ANCOBA, Ben excels in managing client relationships and overseeing procurement for large scale projects. His passion for design and working with a variety of materials drives him to create unique, high-quality results. Ben's ability to truly understand and interpret the vision of both clients and architects is crucial to ensuring smooth project execution. Additionally, he co-launched Willow & Yew, a specialist joinery company that collaborates closely with ANCOBA to provide clients with a complete construction and finishing package, delivering a seamless experience from start to finish.

Aaron Baverstock

Aaron Baverstock is the co-founder of ANCOBA and a skilled carpenter with over 13 years of experience across all areas of carpentry, specialising in cut roofing and framing. Early in his career, Aaron launched his own carpentry firm, overseeing a team of 12 carpenters focusing on premium carpentry and bespoke joinery. He later co-founded Willow & Yew, a company focused on bespoke furniture and custom pieces, where he played a key role in delivering exceptional craftsmanship. After being involved in several large-scale projects, Aaron decided to expand his expertise into construction, leveraging his active experience and leadership abilities. Aaron handles all the technical aspects of the build, working closely with the project managers to ensure everything stays on track. Aaron coordinates tasks between internal teams and external parties, making sure all jobs are executed efficiently and to the highest quality. Additionally, he manages any necessary drawings for both ANCOBA and Willow & Yew, ensuring that designs are accurately brought to life. His hands-on approach and attention to detail are key to the successful delivery of every project.
